Wisconsin small business grant program announced in Milwaukee
Gov. Tony Evers on Tuesday declared $75 million in federal coronavirus reduction cash to support diverse businesses afflicted by the pandemic. Two grant packages, each obtaining $37.5 million, will go towards chambers of commerce and neighborhood improvement money establishments, or CDFIs, specifically all those in ethnically varied communities. The objective is to offer a raise to smaller companies in communities of color that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and to elevate up the bordering neighborhoods. “Owning robust businesses will enable to solve a ton of the local community ills,” said Marjorie Rucker, chair of the Ethnic and Varied Small business Coalition in Wisconsin.
