We develop theories to explain experience. Scientific theories that explain a lot are often taken to be universal but subsequently reveal themselves to be partial. Newtonian physics still explains a lot about the way nature behaves on earth, but Einstein revealed that it does not explain how things work in the universe. If that is the case in science, it surely applies in the practical art of management.
