OSHA: Amazon failed to record some warehouse injuries
NEW YORK — Amazon unsuccessful to effectively history function-connected accidents at warehouses found in 5 states, a federal agency explained Friday while announcing it issued far more than a dozen citations during the course of its ongoing investigation of the company. The Occupational Security and Well being Administration reported it handed out 14 citations throughout inspections more than the summer months at 6 Amazon warehouses in New York, Florida, Illinois, Colorado and Idaho. The citations had been for failing to document, or misclassifying, injuries and diseases, not recording them within the necessary time and not providing the company “timely” data of these issues, OSHA mentioned.
